To the OP: the embassy has no say at all about your age, all they care about is having all the paperwork submitted correctly. The cost of all the notarizations and apostilles is not that much; for me about 100usd all-in. Some posters gave good advice about talking directly to the school but it's not a huge deal. Recruiters won't waste their time on you unless they know you're eligible for a permit.
Good luck! |
Once you are out of China and are no longer legal to go back for employment, this is what hopefully you will have to get an employment visa from the embassy.
- 18 years of employment as a teacher with a document from each
company, each single employment document must include on one
page:
- the starting time of employment
- the ending time of employment
- your position
- company name
- company stamp
- the position of individual issuing the document
- A Chinese language certificate with an HSK 5 level.
-Employment in a fortune 500 company with a document that proves it.
-Copy of all residence permits in passport.
Basic rigid top down government requirements. The reason that I got booted from my teaching job in the first place was the province computerized the residency permits. Whereas before the company bribed the police, the computerization ended it. The company I worked for was a quality company, that had a shortage of teachers, and I was a very good teacher.
Something that tends to extend the "hand writing on the wall" here, I saw an advertisement with a school or recruiter wanting teachers. Age group of the teachers had to be 25 - 40 years. If you think it's a good idea continue to teach ESL or subjects in foreign countries, more power to you. |
