I am interesting in obtaing work as an online ESL teacher. Can anyone advise where such jobs can be found, the remuneration and any other experiences they may have had engaged in this subfield of ESL teaching?
Many thanks

yes I think the south american countries are generally the best;columbia, etc, but there's a few dodgy geezers in pubs and clubs who can help you out, but it is not the best idea: too much teacher talking time.
On a less serious note this is the slaqers heaven- classes from bed wid yer liddle laptop resting on a hostess' rump and having your food and beer delivered AS THE MONEY ROLLS IN !! or you can do a deal with a Nigerian.
Best of luck its gonna be a winner (how is the internet connection on those pacific islands?)
Let us know how it pans out, the whole world's watching.

You could try englishtown.com
http://www.englishtown.com/master/company/teach/
There's an online teaching center in Bali, and you can teach online from anywhere in the world if you have a good enough pc. Not sure what the demand for teachers is like at the moment, but it might be worth looking into.
Good luck! |
