So the great WR has a problem - the grand-daughter confuses him with the uncles! Oh- BOO HOO!!!
Maybe he should acquaint himself with some of the teachers' family problems?
Particularly the new teachers who can't get their families into the country! |

Hello,
Is this a new Bill story - or the same one revisited?
How have the new teachers survived this time - poor things? Last i heard, nobody had arranged permanent accommodation for them and they were having to find their own housing - AND that as they didn't have contracts, IDs and there was nobody to sign their paperwork, it was impossible to get any housing - and all that even before you get into the 3 bids for furniture saga and finding out you can't move into some building you like 'cos it's not owned by Major somebody's uncle.
So, new teachers - have you got housing, contracts, IDs, money, residence visas, phone connections, driving licenses - when are your families coming? How lone have you been waiting - 2 months?
What a welcome.
I really hope HCT is taking note of this dreadful treatment particularly as they are amazingly efficient with all the in-processing, travel arrangements, money, visas, etc. - it just seems to be headache after headache at MLI - the stress must be off the scales. It just seems to get worse every year. |

If he (Uncle Billy) were a true Southern gentleman, he would help those new teachers!
Lord's sake! Do I have to jump on a plane and come over there and straighten that man out?
Again! |

Now Miss Maryam - he might be a Yankee!
But what's going on between Uncle Billy, Z and the divine Ms L? Maybe Omar can tell us?
A brand new series perhaps? |

Excuse me - firing women? What, and then getting them to plead for their jobs using the oldest whiles in the world? Surely not?
Has UB (not 40, rather 55++) actually fired someone? How the hec would he have the audacity to do that given his own past experiences? And, if he tried it, why on earth would anyone take him seriously? |

BD - I'm so glad you edited your original post about the teacher who was 'fired' from MLI recently ... it's really not a very good idea to so explicitly name people who've suffered a misfortune, whatever the rights or wrongs. Think about his prospects for getting another job, and about his family situation. In any case, I believe this teacher was given the opportunity to resign, so he wasn't technically fired. Let's just hope that not too many people saw his name, and that he won't suffer any negative consequences from the short time his name appeared on this board.
We're all over here fighting the good fight, and a bit of solidarity among colleagues wouldn't come amiss. This person also happens to be a very experienced and good teacher who genuinely cares about his students' progress. |

Opportunity to resign! That's a joke. Remember Uncle Billy got an opportunity to resign from his last job too. |

Like yourself Uncle Billy refers to himself in the first person. However, Uncle Billy doesn't like to use that stupid circus chimp voice. I wonder if your students learn to speak this way. |
