A simple question really ...
Aside from gluing myself to the international jobs page here on ESL Cafe, are there any other ways of finding jobs in UAE? Do they have recruiters there or is it up to people to find jobs themselves?
Any ideas? |

TESOL Arabia, which is a teachers' organisation (like IATEFL or TESOL) has an annual conference/convention in the spring. As part of this there is a job fair where employers hire. Worth a visit if you can make your way to the Emirates.
TESOL-Arabia have a website |

The Higher Colleges of Technology advertised recently in both the Guardian and the Weekly Guardian. They also have a web site.
You should also look at the Job Information Journal on this site for background information. |

I am a member of TESOL and subscribe to their twice-monthly email service..HTC has been advertising regularly there. Also AUS has an ad in Chronical of HIgher Ed online. I have also heard TESOL Arabia is worth a visit if you are really interested in working there. hth. |

UGRU at Al Ain is good. So are HCT. MLI was, but not sure now. For reasonable jobs in the Emirates a Master's in a related subject is necessary. Please no MA's in the Sociology of Basketweaving amongst the Hopi.
Jobs teaching in schools are many but usually very stressful. |
