Hello anyone who's interested!

I'm arriving in BA 02.12.2004 (that's 2nd of December, you Americans Wink ) and I was wondering if anyone wants to meet up?

I have no TEFL experience, but I'll be looking for work at some point, before which I plan to travel around Argentina for a while. This may seem very vague, but it really is my whole plan!

Anyway, let me know if you're looking for someone to travel/drink/hunt for jobs with:-)

Alex

Alex,

I'm arriving in Buenos Aires on January 27, 2005 and will also be looking for jobs. I would definitely be interested in meeting up in February. Where are you staying once you get there? Where are you planning on traveling to? We should talk more as the date gets closer.

Add another one to that list....I will be arriving in Buenos Aires on Feb 7.

Would be great to meet up with some people already there and get some tips on places to stay, schools, places to eat and drink out etc....

keep me posted on how you're getting on and I'll contact you again closer to the date. Good luck!

Cheers

Hi Alex,

I'll be in B.A. on Dec. 1. Well, my plane lands on the 1st. I can't say I'll be too conscious/coherent after a 21hr flight, but if you want to get together sometime that week, PM me and let me know.

Cheers!

Hey All, I'm a university student from the States/aspiring ESL teacher and I'll be studying at a BA university for 2 semesters. I would LOVE the opportunity to meet up with some of you guys, get the scoop on what's going on, make new friends, etc., because I will not know a single soul when I arrive! Please keep me posted too! I'll be arriving some time in mid-Jan (I'm still waiting for all this silly paperwork, etc., then I can buy my ticket.) Much love, Lola Very Happy

hi,
i am in buenos aires at the moment, looking for teaching work (this is my 3rd week). i dont have a visa, and so far this doesnt seem a prob. seems that there are some centres still running classes over the summer - i was able to get some hours teaching almost immedialty with a centre for 12 pesos an hour - i think the average is 10 -15pesos (and although BA is very cheap, you still need to build up a bit of work and remember you dont get paid for prep time!! ) the centre is not that organised but i have access to materials and a computer! it does involve teaching in students homes - which is extra time and means travel costs. still one to one is pretty good. i have another job interview tomorrow so seems like there is a need. have just been going around and dropping resumes off - use the yellow pages and www.seaweb.com.ar. if i am still here when any of you arrive am happy to meet up and pass on any other tips!

Yet another me too message. I arrive Jan 9 2005. Planning on partying the first two weeks, studying spanish after that, and looking for work from mid Feb.

I have a CELTA but no teaching experience.
