Hello, I'm an Armenian-American with a TEFL cert and a little over one year EFL experience (in Japan). I would like to work in Armenia next. Any advice? So far all I've found is the Peace Corps. I don't mind the low pay, but I would like something a little more flexible. Thanks for your help.

Some good leads by Castro.
Here's one more: http://arm.qsi.org/ (QSI International School of Yerevan)
According to their website, they are also *not* hiring at the moment, but you could e-mail them anyway and see if they know of any schools that might be looking for people.
In a newly developing market like Armenia, I'd be fairly optimistic about your chances of landing a TEFL job, although finding the right person at the right school may take some patience, energy and creativity on your part ... since many of them will not be online yet.
Good luck! |
