well, it seems there is plenty of work to be had in poland - eastern and central europe as a whole, in fact.
i'm just wondering if this is a good thing? is the turnover of staff so high due to a lack of satisfaction out there?
i've been in bulgaria briefly and had a bit of a nightmare, but don't want to allow one bad experience to put me off for good.
what's the story guys? do they work you to the bone and kick you out at the end exhausted and broke?
do they drop new teachers in at the deep end and then turn a blind eye when they struggle?
are the postings in the job info. journal true - is poland a dump not worth going to?
or is it just a matter of working what seem to be pretty good hours, getting pretty good pay for the country, and having a damn good time?
i know it can't all be beer and women - but surely some of it is.

Poland is like every where else- if you get a good school and are good at your job AND can handle life abroad, you will do fine. I had a blast in Poland. I didn't make the money I made in Korea, but I lived VERY well. And then the women are hot and the beer is cold and the skiing in Zakopane is excellent.

There is no guarantee that you will get a job with one of the best schools in Poland, you really do have to make the best of the job that you get. If one job doesn't meet your expectations, than get one that will. There are plenty of jobs here so one of them is bound to suit you.
I had a job before christmas which didn't go too well for me so I jacked it in, and lost confidence, but I've decided to give it another go and I'm glad that I did, because my second job is working out better.
Oh, and I definately agree with XXX about the cold beer and the hot women in Poland. A reason in itself to come here....
