| When I was in Santiago in September I went to a big book shop in Huerfanos called Feria del Libro which my guide book said was the biggest. However, I noticed they don't stock English text books. Anyone know where is the best place to find them? |

This place is an english only bookshop and i'm pretty sure i saw books like murphy's grammar etc. It's got 1000s of english language novels as well but it's not cheap, around 4-7000 for a 2nd hand novel...might be better to ship any text books you have at home out to your girlfriend...? i brought all mine out in my luggage although it eats into your baggage allowance. |

Do you know the best way to send out stuff from the Uk? Is there a better option than using the Post Office. I�m thinking of sending a box out. |

| Parcel force was the cheapest i found quoting me something like �250 for a 20kg box. Might be cheaper to simply go over your luggage allowance and hope they don't charge for every single kilo you're over. BA told me they'd charge me �16.50 a kilo over but also said it was unlikely they'd charge for all the extra weight i'll be over. |

At 250 pounds it's not worth it. I went the other day and posted less than 5 kilos by parcel force and it knocked me back 50 pounds. With a 20kg restriction on hold baggage it means making many sacrifices as to what to bring because one realises that it would be cheaper buying more clothes etc there rather than pay the excess.
I see one word was changed on my other posting and they placed "beep". Very strict in here. I don't think it was even a bad word.
Anyway when you going back to Argentina and if you are passing through Santiago in March we could meet for a coffee.
