Can anyone give me an idea of which language schools exist in Tunisia? Any experiences of teaching there?
Thanks |

There's mainly Bourguiba Institute, AMIDEAST, and at University. Most opportunities are in the capital, Tunis. I've had friends just appear and get jobs, but I would contact the two main places above and find out what kind of opportunities exist. |

I looked into Tunisia pretty seriously last year, and the only places I came up with were AMIDEast and the Bourguiba Institute, which is a branch of the university of Tunis, if I understood everything correctly. Good luck finding contact information for them--they have virtually no presence at all on the web, and I could only find a street adress and general email address (for the whole univ, not the English dept.).
Anyway, I went through the application/interview with AMIDEast and had a very positive impression but, in the end, decided to miss Tunisia entirely. If you want some general info about them, I can forward you an attachment (PM me). It might be easier to just contact them directly, though. The director, Lee Jennings, will be more than happy to help you.
Good luck. |

All unversities offer English language instruction. But, 99% of teachers are native Tunisians with excellent training. The few western teachers are married to Tunisians. |
