I am a UK qualified secondary teacher with TEFL Cert. and overseas (Spain, Gulf) experience in both efl and international schools. I'm fully qualified and I've finished my probation. I am 40.
I am currently working in Special Education in the UK and completing an M.Ed. with a spin towards disability and esl pupils. I'd be interested to hear from anyone working in Aus. who could give some tips on how to approach teaching there with my background. I'm open to any Special Needs sector, ESL or mainstream state schools, although I do have a fairly specific set of skills to offer.
Is a one- year exchange the best bet, or is it viable to get recruited directly from the UK? If the latter, can anyone recommend a reputable agency? |
