Word from a highre-up in HCT is that they figured out thay can save ONE MILLION KUDOS a year by getting rid of the loyal supporters of the outgoing regime. They've got a special bus ready with "New Jersey or Bust" written on the bumper.

They looked real close at TEACHING HOURS when making their recommendations to GHQ. If you've spent a lot of time in the classrrom the past year, you're in like a local.

From even higher up--the Sheikh's majlis no less--they're also hoping to save DH$$$ by cutting back on toilet paper as well, not to mention copy toner, paper, printer cartridges, whiteboard markers, and other such "disposables". More qahwa money!

Speaking of disposables . . . what, or shall we say rather, who else might be considered disposable?

Ah! MLI Vet, hovering like a vulture, waiting for the collapse so he can hire the discarded and spirit them away to his country estate in Thailand, where he will pay them a few coconuts a day to chase wild monkeys away from his lawn. They won't need copy machines there, or whiteboard markers either.

Also overheard in the Sheikh's majlis:

A: "Those MLI chimps . . . bananas . . . GHQ prison . . . majnoon . . . the whole lot "

B: "We'll have to let 'em go sooner or later . . . both MLI and GHQ ones, you know."

A: "Has that order from Wilkonson's arrived yet, Mohammed?"

B: "Wilkinson??"

A: "You know, the swords!"

B: "Ah, yes. The swords. They're in Dubai, just cleared customs. Should be here by tomorrow."

C: "Swords?!?! What's with you guys?"

B: "Collection. Simply collector's items." Wink Wink

ESL Teacher in ghutra disguise leaves majlis, goes home to look up Wilkinson's on the Internet. Websit pops up. He ponders to self: "I've got to warn these guys, Bobo, Bindair and the others.

Alright you lot. Uncle Billy has told me to tell you all to cut this crap out. Otherwise I'll be forced to close this board down and delete your messages if you keep this nonsense up. This is not the place to discuss such issues. Wink

Do any of you have anything constructive, not to mention adult, to say? All I see here is a bunch of babbling mean-spirited idiots. From what Ive seen the administration is doing a pretty good job of trying to make sense of a very confusing situation.

And Bindair Dundat, you must have a death wish. Youve revealed so much about yourself in your hundreds of postings that everyone on the staff knows who you are. Youve managed to insult every member of the administration, not to mention every Canadian on the staff, which is a pretty foolish thing to do with HCT about to take over. You rant, rave, babble and complain ad nauseum, yet all youve managed to do is make yourself number one on everyones list of teachers least likely to be offered a letter of intent.

Remember, what goes around comes around.

Wouldn't it be a better idea to train the wild monkeys to teach English and set up a recruitment agency?

Numbah one!

We do not all march through life brimming with fear. Obviously, I have options that you will never have.

Keep up the good work Bindair! You are STILL doing a GREAT job!

MLI Vet, that bit about the swords...thats just downright creepy.

Latest rumour straight from Al-Jazeera:

"CERT takeover deal for MLI falls through. Outbid by Abu Dhabi University. L O I's expected sometime next fall. Stay tuned..."

Shocked

I've got it from a pretty good authority that Wilkinson's is actually the supplier of the swords used for beheadings in Saudi Arabia.

In the more enlightened and liberal UAE, I suppose that the coming shipment will be used for nothing more than personal collections and for military graduations and the like.

The ESL teacher in disguise at the Sheikh's majlis must still be learning Arabic and perhaps read a bit to deeply into the majlis banter regarding the shipment from Wilkinson's http://www.wilkinson-swords.co.uk

An innocent reference, that's all it was. That's it--these are just the new swords they're going to use for the graduations as the different military colleges and training centers.
