I've noticed this company advertising and was wondering if anyone could give me any info about them?

Thanks

I don't know much personally but from what I've read on Dave's Job Info Journal- http://www.eslcafe.com/jobinfo/asia/sefer.cgi?Hong:Kong
you should really think twice about it. At least try e-mailing some of the people who wrote the postings on the Job Info Journal. There are losts of good companies out there, I wouldn't risk it with one that former teachers have gone so far out of their way to criticize. Just my two cents.

Thanks, yeah it sounds like a pretty grim place to work. Hope other people thinking of applying there take heed as well.

I also had a friend work at Childrens English Centre who actually recommended it to me. She did say that there was quite a guided curriculum which she found really helpful but I guess if you are a very experienced teacher you may find it restrictive. Ive actually decided to apply for Sept despite all the comments on here - of course Ill be careful to ask the right questions. I think its important for us all to remember that we dont know who are posting the comments on here and Id rather judge for myself. Have you read the comments abt Wordpower - they seem to be getting pretty nasty and sounds like a personal vendetta rather than a warning to other teachers? Im not going to ignore what Ive read but Im still going to look into it myself.

Good luck to you JenB. And do tell us how you get on, maybe we can hear from someone with first-hand experience.
