How come the Qatar forum is suddenly busy. It used to go weeks with no posts. Now every day when I log on there is a new post. |

I have been assuming that there is more activity because there are now more teaching jobs there. It is nice to see actually.

Has anyone had an interview with CNA recently? I submitted a CV a while ago and have heard nothing except automated reply. Tried calling but no return calls thus far. |

Don't worry ETG. This is normal for this part of the world. I don't mean this in a negative way. It is just the way it is. |

Yes, I had a phone interview a few weeks ago. They followed a question script and didn't ask anything that would set one apart from others. Everything was very formal. The interview is all a bit of a haze, but they asked me how I would go about teaching a Reading selection with snow as the topic. All the answers were scored, and as usual, these days, I didn't make the cut. Sorry, I can't remember any of the other questions, so don't ask! |

Hi everyone:
I'm glad there's another thread about CNA, becuase there's lots of conflicting information. I was interviewed and offered a job by CNA, but I declined for various reasons. If anyone would like to know more, you can post a private message; there's too much info. to be posted here.

Hello,
I contacted CNA administration in Canada, and I was informed that CNA hires Canadians only.

makes sense that they'd hire canadians only as you need to pay canadian taxes....don't think too many amercans would be interested in paying canadian income tax that they can't profit from later...they don't visit the amazing canada in summer cause of taxes as it is......makes perfect sense. what makes no sense is the whole system itself. Take a look at the contract and income tax guide, sooooooooo confusing, not worth the headache of even reading ....many problems at this place also, esl teachers definately work for their money...long hours, extensive lesson plans, etc.etc....... |

Has anyone been hired or interviewed by them in the past month or so? They seem to be in stall mode |
