Can anyone tell me the best time to turn up in Cairns to get work?

Also, how are the schools there. I mean International House, Cairns Language Centre, and any others - how is it to teach there? Are the contracts fair? Good pay? Good support and working conditions? Good curricula? Friendly helpful head teacher? Nice students? Any thoughts on these please?

Also, any thoughts on living in Cairns compared to other cities?

Any comments appreciated.
