Just checked their ad in Dave's - if they've taken over the military contracts then their salary packages are low - 550KD for an experienced teacher (8-12 years) plus shared accommodation with 2-4 teachers.Even IPETQ used to have a better deal than that. |

Zakiah,
I haven't laughed so long and so hard at a supposed job ad for years!! They have got to be kidding...
BA + cert + 12 years of experience = US$1800 per month
If you have less than 4 years the offer is about $1400 per month!!
I earned more than that doing private lessons in Cairo in the mid-1980's!! I earned more than that at my first job in Oman back in the late 1980's.
Teaching Kuwaiti military boys in the desert for pennies... who wouldn't jump at the chance???

Actually it's not a joke. Who do hese people think they are fooling? Nobody should set foot in the GULF, let alone Kuwait for that insult of a salary. Thats a travesty, really. |

In a telephone interview from my hovel in Bahrain, I was told by the recruiter that basically he was just looking for warm bodies. |

|

It has been noticed that some companies that have taken over military contracts have been offering lower salaries and worse conditions than was previously seen in Kuwait.
However, it will be interesting to note the salaries/conditions currently being offered by IPETQ in their latest job offering. They appear to be "tight-lipped" on job details/conditions such as salary/accommodation etc but the teaching time is being advertised as 25/30 contact hours.
Does anyone have any further details? |

6 hours a day in the classroom? That's a lot. It's for Kuwait Petroleum, I think. Anybody here already doing the IPETQ/Kuwait Petroleum gig? |

What is the skinny on GUST? I thought they offered a fairly solid benefits package for Kuwait. Haven't seen many neg posts. Why have you linked them with this ridiculous outfit? Are you in the know? Please do tell. |
