|

Hi All,
I am an Indian National. Having received Australian PR, I am looking for a challenging opportunity in Australia to migrate. I currently reside in India. Is it difficult to land a job in Australia by staying in India and applying for jobs matching my profile. If so, what should be my best strategy to get a job to migrate.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Thanks for the input. I am applying to various openings offered at the following sites for the last three months. But yet to get any call from the Consultants/Organizations. Was wondering, whether they give least preference to Overseas Candidates and hence the post.
1. www.seek.com.au, 2. www.careerone.com.au 3. www.jobsnet.com.au
Thanks again. |

This might be a bit old-fashioned Kumar, and I'm not sure if you are able to do this, but have you considered actually showing up in person for a job interview? You say you already have Aussie PR. What's to stop you from putting your feet on the ground and giving it a fair go? |

Hi, Showing up in person is not a problem. But I am not getting any Interview Call at all :( . I like my current assignment in India and the pay. The salary offered is above average in Indian salary structure. My long term plan is to settle in Australia. My dilemma is whether to quit and fly down there or to look for a job from here. |

my thinking is, when there are so many applicants on the ground in Australia, they're not even going to look at someone so far away.
save up money, move to Aussie and go for it! |

Kumar,
Perhaps someone could advise you further if you gave us some details on what type of position you are looking for - also what qualifications and experience do you have?
Australia is a big country - do u have any idea where u would like to settle? There are Indian communities in the capital cities, do u know anyone already in Australia who could possibly assist u? Maybe with some temporary accommodation until u secure a job.
best of luck |

Hi, I am a Software Professional with around 9 yrs of experience in Manufacturing Industry and 2 ys of exp in Oracle Applications (Manufacturing Modules). I am looking for opportunities in Oracle Applications. Location in Australia is not a constraint, atleast in the initial few years of my migration. I don't have relatives/friends there and that won't be a problem, as I can manage. |
