I'm about to head over to Korea but a few years ago I knew a guy who was in the Swazi royal family (he was studying in Israel at a yeshiva) so I've been wondering. Does anyone know about working conditions/opportunities there? |

Apart from the fact that English is already spoken there, you might consider the following from the CIA World Factbook:
Student and labor unrest during the 1990s pressured the monarchy (one of the oldest on the continent) to grudgingly allow political reform and greater democracy. Swaziland recently surpassed Botswana as the country with the world's highest known rates of HIV/AIDS infection.
Also:
Infant mortality rate: total: 69.27 deaths/1,000 live births
Life expectancy at birth: total population: 35.65 years*
Sounds like the kind of place that Jason of the Congo would like to visit, assuming he isn't there already.

I know too damned many people in spite of being a hermit. It's not easy making time for all of them. |

Hey, I study with a guy from Swazi (he's still alive despite Aids, crime etc) and although is a English speaking country I'm sure you'll be able to pick up volunteer work in rural communities. (Grown up in SSA so know area well.) Post a reply if you're still interested and I'll see what I can find out. |
