Hi everyone,
Looking for some inside info about TEFL employers in the Naples area that would sponsor an American (I'm certified to teach high school english in Massachusetts and am obtaining my TEFL cert right now). Ideally, I would like to be there on a work permit if I can make it happen, but most people are saying its virtually impossible. I am moving there in April and would like to be there for the full two years that my boyfriend will be stationed there with the Navy. Someone give me some hope!
Thanks! |

There is an American school in Naples, I believe, set up specifically for American kids of servicemen and women. You would have way more luck getting legal work there than in the "real" Naples because you would be hired by the United States. |

Unfortunately, that school only hires dependants (according to the vice principal), which means the jobs almost always go to wives. The most common advice I get is "just get married." I'm hoping for an option between that and just going and working "under the table" so to speak...
Thanks for the idea though |
