Not a lot.
Costa Rica - $US 500-$750
Mexico - about the same.
If you can get a job at a university you may be able to make a **little** more.
Good luck |

I'm curious about Panama too...I'm going to Costa Rica in about a week, and I'd also like to check out the Panama teaching scene while I'm down there. My guess is Panama would pay about the same as any other Latin American country. Which is to say, next to nothing. Good thing I'm not in this to make my fortune, right? |

You will make more in Panama - but the cost of living offsets the difference. It's really not that much more anyway. Maybe a few hundred $ per month. Panama is also very hot and humid and more dangerous than CR. The climate here in CR is much better.
If you're looking to save cash forget ESL in Latin America IMO. Even directors here make diddly.
Good luck,
