Is there anyone teaching in Kuwait or who has been teaching in Kuwait who has some inside information about this American recruiting company:
http://jshandassociates.com/
They are currently advertising position vacancies for an MOD contract here at Dave's and on just about every other TEFL job board (which I'm fairly certain is the same as the one once offered by Qualitas).
Apparently, Qualitas is a subsidiary of a Kuwait educational holding company that has quite a few irons in the fire including a private university made infamous on this site's Job Journal. http://www.kees.org/
I'd imagine such a large company would be able to handle its own recruiting.
I am also a bit wary because of the numerous Email contacts on the various job boards:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
Isn't it curious that an international recruiting "company" would use aol and not set up an Email account with their web server, i.e. nameofrecruiter@nameofthecompany? |

I know nothing about this company or its legitimacy. Personally I wouldn't even consider any Middle East job through an agency. With the exception of a few recruiters who work in Saudi Arabia, they seem to always be involved with marginal jobs in bad locations with the worst employers.
I saw that AOL address and thought the same thing actually. As to the many permutations, perhaps they want to track which ads attract the most applications. Using seperate emails addresses would give them that information.

Going through a recruiter or an agent is a recipe for disaster.
Try KSA and apply direct to some of the State Employers. |

2000 pounds I assume you are talking of. The fact that you still think in sterling tlls us much of your mentality ! Running Dog oif the Imperialists !
From that US$3000 you pay nothing for acccommdation or utilities. KSA is MUCH cheaper than Europe.
You can live on 500 sterling and save the rest.
Can you do that working for your Ottoman masters Mr Loyd (aka 31) ?
KSA is still the best place to save.

Mtr L must be with British Aerospace. Loads of ex-RAF Flight Sergeants and Pilot Officers. And their local counterparts.
