i know it's rather late notice, but i have an interview with ECC tomorrow. i was told that there would be an hour long grammar test and i was wondering whether anyone might be able to advice me as to what it might entail. I have never taught TEFL so am not really aware as to the exact nature of grammatical requirements. is it enough to be able to string a coherent sentence together or will indepth knowledge of particular parts of speech be necessary? it's multiple choice apparently.

thank you in advance for any help given.

I have an interview with them in May. My take is that they will ask at least a few questions on parts of speech: pronouns, adverbs, prepositions, etc. That is the part I would do a quick brush up on. There must be some sites out there you can peruse before tomorrow. Good luck.

Go to www.teachinginjapan.com and look for the postings on ECC's test. Several people have described it there. It is not for the weak at heart.
