i know it's rather late notice, but i have an interview with ECC tomorrow. i was told that there would be an hour long grammar test and i was wondering whether anyone might be able to advice me as to what it might entail. I have never taught TEFL so am not really aware as to the exact nature of grammatical requirements. is it enough to be able to string a coherent sentence together or will indepth knowledge of particular parts of speech be necessary? it's multiple choice apparently.
thank you in advance for any help given. |

I have an interview with them in May. My take is that they will ask at least a few questions on parts of speech: pronouns, adverbs, prepositions, etc. That is the part I would do a quick brush up on. There must be some sites out there you can peruse before tomorrow. Good luck. |

Go to www.teachinginjapan.com and look for the postings on ECC's test. Several people have described it there. It is not for the weak at heart. |
