Thanks Kent, Cool

I was searching on google myself and I found another State Department sponsered international school in Vladivostok. I think it is on the same site you listed. They only have 2 foreign staff though.

I also found a link to an international school in Samara. The link is out of action. Do you know of such a school there? There are listings for these schools all over Russia but I suspect if they are not connected with some foreign organization, they probably can't afford to pay much to a foreign teacher.

Privyet Buck,

I'm personally not aware of any bona-fide international schools here in Samara. With a population of only 1.5 million, and VERY few permanent-resident foreigners living here... the demand for a high-quality, English-medium international school ... is probably very low.

Samara's 'claim to fame' in the academic world (fyi) lies within its aerospace and automobile industries. There are lots of good, even internationally recognized, technical universities and institutes here which focus mainly on engineering, physics, computer science and mathematics. English classes **are** offered at all of these 'state' schools, but the teacher is, with VERY few exceptions, a native Russian. And... I'm sure you know this, but for the benefit of those who don't know it; a Russian teacher is considered extremely lucky if he/she earns 5,000 Rubles per month ... an amount that I often spend in a week. Embarassed

So ... the directors of such schools would laugh at me if I told them that my salary requirement is $700 per month net (that's 22,000 Rubles) with a furnished flat and 24/7 internet included at no cost. Twisted Evil

Anyway ... I will continue to pass along any interesting links or leads I may come across in the future. Good luck with your plans, Buck.

Warm wishes,
Kent
