|
|
I'm trying to buy a plane ticket to Prague and I'm wondering if there are restrictions on one-way ticket holders. Do they check to see if you have a return ticket, and if you don't do they not let you in? I don't want to buy a round trip since I don't really know where I might end up.
Any help with this would be great, since my guaranteed fare expires in 2 days.
Thanks. |

I found out from the Czech Consulate that I can get into the CR with a one way ticket. So, if anyone else wants to do it, it's no problem. |

No worries.
When I flew to Czech my travel agent, who was herself from Prague told me that I might have some trouble if I didn't book a round trip ticket.
Yet when I arrived in Czech they didn't even bother to check.
It actually worked out for me though. Because I wanted to go home for Christmas.
If the ticket is expensive, just tell them you're backpacking around Europe. |

I do not know if you have already bought the ticket for the Czech Republic as of yet. But do not get me wrong when I say this. But it is better for you if you do buy a return ticket.
That way you will have a way out if things either do not work out for you or if there might be an emergency at home with a relative. Best to have a return ticket from Amsterdam per se. When you buy the ticket just specify that it is to be classified as open. What this means is that you bought the ticket but there is no return date specified. That gives you up to a year for whereever you want to be before the ticket is no longer valid.
Not only that it will give you a sense of security if you do not earn enough money to afford a return ticket after your gig is up. I do know that some schools say they will 'assist' with the cost of ticket(s) after the contract is up. But from what problems have occured that others have had, at least you will have a chance to return home if they do not come up with the funds for the ticket(s) or the actual ticket.
Best of luck and let us know what happens. |
