I've heard that getting an EU passport is possible and found a couple of companies that claim to be able to do it, but I'm wondering if anyone has done it and what the total bill came to? The web site is www.uslawfirm.com.

There is no such thing as an EU passport.

It is a short cut way of saying "a passport from one of the 15 EU member countries"

Each country has it's own rules and regulations about giving nationality to none native people - you would have to check with their Embassies.

Some countries will allow you to claim citizenship (and therefore apply for a passport) if you have (for example) one or more grandparents who were citizens of that country.

A stray thought has just crossed my mind - If you have family ties to any of the 10 new EU member countries (as of May 2004) then you could also have the benefit of changing citizenship and getting that famous "EU passport"
