In their latest job advertisement, they are stating "substanially increased basic salary" - does anyone have an idea what this is exactly? I checked their website but couldn't find the specific salary details. |

Someone asked me if it's easy to fly out of Kuwait for the weekend-to Dubai, Bahrain etc. This was never a problem in the Emirates, but something of a hassle in Saudi. I've never worked in Kuwait so I don't know.
How does a Kuwaiti sojourn overall compare to one in say, Abu Dhabi or Qatar? |

I did both of those weekend trips while I was living in Kuwait. It's no problem, but Kuwaiti salaries wouldn't allow you to do it very often. I actually enjoyed my time in Kuwait, but then I'm not a great party-goer and I was well beyond clubbing age even then. It all depends what you enjoy, and any social life depends on who you get to meet and how you get along with them: there aren't an awful lot of places you can go to meet people other than those you work with. |

It depends on your employer. If you work for KU, you have to have an exit visa to leave. Thus, you have to plan ahead so that your admin has time to get the exit visa. I never had them turn me down, but you couldn't decide on Tuesday to go on for the weekend.

Anyone who works for IPETQ/TQLS will regret it. They are the worst company in the world. They will take your passport and not return it. You will be a slave. The housing is not fit for a dog. The management are a bunch of back stabbing loosers who couldn't get a job anywhere else. I worked in Hawalli for them and the students are terrible. To sum it up - the pay, other teacher, management, living condition, students are horrible. STAY AWAY FROM KUWAIT AND IPETQ/TQLS |
