Hi,

I just have a quick question. To get a visa in Kuwait do you have to get a police check in your home country?
If not, do they do it there?

I just spoke with a man today about a job. I may take it. I have an offer from another school but I have not heard much about the school. This make me want to keep looking. Either way I will have to get a police check so I was just wondering if I could use the same form.

I have taught in Kuwait, Oman and the UAE and have never done a police check. That seems to be only a Saudi thing...

The first time I went to Oman, I had to bring a set of fingerprints from the US... took me 5 minutes in the local police station. But, then they did them again in Oman... now you just do them after you arrive.

You do not require a Police check for a Kuwait visa.
You do require a Medical and HIV test. Which will be done again when you arrive. They will also finger print you and check that you haven't been deported from Kuwait or black-listed.
Which schools are you applying to?

Thanks for the info. I have been talking to Kuwait International English school. I am also talking to a school in Qatar. I have an interview with the school In Qatar on the 21 of May. I have a job offer for Saudi but I think I will turn that one down. I would loveto go to UAE, but so would everyone else. I think I will have better chances else where.
