My husband made an application through Teach-Abroad.org for an ESL job in Berlin. He has received a reply offering him a 6 month contract at Euro - Lingua Language School. This was based only on the initial information with no further information needed. The letter requires $US150 to be sent immediately to show he is serious about application and which will be returned when he takes up contract.
Has anyone any knowledge or experience with these people. It seems possible we could send this money and never hear from them again.

You're right Jetset. Further research has shown it to be a scam. I'll keep my money thanks LOL.

Keep your money Wink but goto Berlin!!! I spent the month of March there and its a fantastic city..

Uber-cheap
Uber-cool
Uber-Berlinnn!!

only drawback is crippling unemployment at 17%, but that hopefully wont tinge the ESL markt.

17 % is not good. It must have a knock-on effect on ESL jobs.
