Flying from Ottawa - Gatwick - Prague. I will be arriving in Prague Sunday the 21st of May, are there any suggestions on what to do? I will only be in town for two days, so I will definately visit the old town. What about good pubs expat or not? |

The best walk in Prague has to be from the top of Wenceslas Square (Vaclavske Namesti metro), then walk down to the bottom, through the little streets to the Charles Bridge (Karluv Most). Cross the bridge and walk up to the castle. The fact that it's the best walk means that there will hundreds of people doing the same thing, but I've been going to Prague for years and still love it. Take tram number 22 back to the city centre. There are plenty of little bars on the way, though prices vary considerably. Most restaurants will have English menus. Another place I like in Prague is Vysehrad (metro station of same name). It offers great views of the city. If you walk down from Vysehrad to the river, there is a little tunnel where trams go through, beside the river. Just nearby there is a lovely restaurant where you can sit outside and eat and drink to your hearts content. |
