Cheers for replies to earlier post, it was all very helpful. I have preety much decided to head for Turkey in January so I guess that I should start thinking about sending off CV's fairly soon. I should be in a position to come over and have a look at schools etc before making any final decisions round about December.
Does anyone have any ideas as to who might be recruiting for such a late start. Ideally I would prefer to try a private K12, I have a degree and will have a TEFL in a matter of weeks. I would also prefer Izmir or similar size city but am happy to look at Istanbul.
Any suggestions, addressess for prospective employers, gratefully received.
Cheers

Go to http://web.bilkent.edu.tr/inet-turkey/k12-webs.html where you will find links to several K-12 schools. I suggest you fax your CV to any which interest you.
Yamanlar in Izmir and Istek in Istanbul were advertising recently. They probably want someone who can join them within the next few weeks but you could give them a try anyway. |

Hi
Just to let you know there are at least two places I'm aware of who accept applications later in the year in this city they always have a reshuffle after the first term and they never recruit enough to meet the needs of the school /university . Check out teflturkey .com one or two ads there for Izmir and ieu.edu.tr a uni who need a few more willing hands . |
