There's nothing to say that a person with an MBA knows what it's like to teach, so why should you put any stock in what she says. |
Oh, it wasn't about the teaching aspect of it. I guess I just figured that someone who presumably spent several class hours learning how to scam, er, sell things to people by playing to their desires ought to know enough to look closer.
Come to think of it, she's not much of a building manager either. |

Not much of a building manager? Does that mean she doesn't do certain things as expected (like shovel the walk, keep the genkan clean, repair things as needed)?
Or does it mean she doesn't make a lot of money, despite the large chunk of key money that such people make? |

By "not much of a building manager" I meant that it takes her forever to respond to the tenants' questions/requests/complaints, has repairs done in a slipshod manner because it's cheap only to click her tongue in dismay when the thing breaks again (well, do it right the first time!), and fails to use common sense. My personal favorite: testing the elevator alarms without warning the tenants because she presumed everyone would be at work at that hour of the morning. The lazy, unemployed students among us had great fun banging on the elevator doors, shouting, "What floor are you on?" then calling the manager's office to alert her. She was quite surprised at our reaction.
She's nice enough, really, and maybe it's not all her fault. Maybe the building owners make her skimp on the repairs. I've no idea how much she earns. Maybe she's making so much, she doesn't need to worry about doing a good job. Still, it made me wonder about the quality of the MBAs my university cranks out.
Don't worry, Glenski. Something tells me she won't be invading your neighborhood to make millions anytime soon--I think I'm stuck with her for the duration of my degree. But, if that's the worst thing I've got to complain about, I guess I'm in pretty good shape. |
