|
|
When scanning the press and reading comments about rents in the UAE, one notices that people talk about yearly rents - for example - 72.000 dirhams per year (6000 per month).
For new incoming teachers - when they find a place to live, how much do they have to pay ''upfront?" - surely it is not the whole rent for one year?
And what about if the teacher stays somewhere and then wishes to change to a different place? how easy/difficult is it to change places, and last of all, are simple monthly rentals (no strings attached) available in the UAE? and how far will 5000 dirhams monthly allowance go in Al Ain?
Thanks for any feedback.

In my experience rents are quoted here yearly and only at the very low levels or shares do you see them monthly. Many landlords do expect one check but may accept two or three, but usually you get the best deal if you give one check.
As far as 5000 monthly in AL Ain I suggest that you do a search as this question has already been asked by many others especially those thinking of coming to work with IAT ( including a previous posts by you I believe).

Surely it is. Postdated checks are sometimes accepted. |
