here in Sharjah.

Sharjah (I believe) is the only emirate with a formalized (i.e. law) decency code.

The UGRU supervisor was Irish. The teacher with the caboos was American. Might've been a love/hate thing.

I know what you mean - same in the integrated classes in both Kuwait and Oman private colleges. I recall standing in line with an American male teacher - gazing at one of the women students in her skin tight jeans and tiny shirt, said plaintively, 'please --- get this girl an abaya!!' Smile

So, you mean one of the love/hate things, but without the love part? Actually I found that the Americans and Irish usually got along famously. Oh well---
