I know this forum is a bit dead.... but I'm hoping someone's reading it... What is the situation like vis-a-vis jobs in Argentina right now, I know it isn't good in general. Is it feasible to live off an EFL wage, and are jobs available? I not really thinking of looking now (I've got a degree to do right now!) but maybe in a year or so's time... are there any good information sources on work in Argentina. Is the visa situation still as simple as overstay and pay $50....? Is it possible/worthwhile to legalise yourself?
I'd probably be looking for jobs in and around Crdoba, though I would consider BsAs as well. I have a year's EFL experience (in Asuncin, Paraguay) but no qualifications to speak of... I might do a CELTA before going out there, would it be worth it?
Thanks, I hope you can help me in someway... Gracias

Hey...this forum is alive! I was just waiting for you.

Argentina went through a lot of change, and changes still. A lot of schools shut down, but many, many remain. As the dollar-peso exchange levels out with the cost-of-living, pay is down, but still livable.

Jan-Feb are the best times to go. Very hard right before Christmas or earlier for job seekers.
