Im considering accepting a teaching position at Abu Dhabi University in Khalifa City. However, Im very sensitive to air pollution and would appreciate any comments about the quality of air in Abu Dhabi and particularily in Khalifa City. |

The air quality in K city is pretty good regarding industrial pollution, but fine desert sand and dust is every where in the UAE, especially bad during times of "Shamals" or windy dust storms.
Abu Dhabi emirate in general is pretty good. But, Dubai is terrible with heavy vehicle and industrial pollution along with the filth caused by the unceasing building of high rises everywhere. When the natural desert landscape surface is disturbed, it takes hundreds of years for it to recover. This is something that is either unknown here, or more likely ignored in the quest to build bigger and obscenely ostentatious buildings, (that have little chance of being occupied as the rents are higher than most can afford). |

I hope that you have read the descriptions here of the teaching conditions at ADU. Air pollution will be the least of your problems.
