These are the places I'm looking at:
Paris.
Lens.
Nantes.
Bordeaux.
Saint-Etienne.
Lyon.
Marseille.
Montpellier.
Toulouse.

Nantes would be one of the top ones, as would Montpellier and Toulouse.

Anyone suggest anything?!?

Montpellier - what is the ease of finding work and is it possible to find a job where you can live on the wage?

Sadly, it's not that easy to find work here - but that's the same anywhere in France, to be honest. Paris is the only real exception, but if you DO find work there you'll have high living costs.

Montpellier's not too bad for living costs - the public transport's really good and pretty cheap... So if you have to travel to different companies / classes /private tutoring etc it's no problem (trams every 2mins). Rent's reasonable, too and you may get help from the CAF. Eating out is super-cheap and shopping's average (expenditure-wise). It is, therefore, possible to live on the wage offered here (language schools here pay 17+ per hour). you just have to make sure you get plenty of hours!! Wink

Let me know if you want any more info Smile

Anyone with concrete experience in Marseille or elsewhere seaside? Five years of Paris has been quite enough...
