It would appear the public inspections have begun. See the thread "MLI nightmare". |

That is sort of a broad question Purple. HCT is a large system with something like 11 branches in 6 cities. You apply to a central office in Abu Dhabi and have no say in which college you are assigned to. Thus, it is rather a waste to discuss problems of particular branches until you know whether that is where you would be assigned. This is a place where how you get along with the particular management of your college is extremely important.
Take a glance at the Job Information Journal and see the many views of different branches. It's a bit of a craps shoot.
My experience there was mostly good and my many friends who have worked there would probably break down to 75% positive/neutral and 25% negative.

Thanks VS. I've heard ADWC is a good place to work. Any comments on this one? |

Hi Purple,
ADWC has always had a pretty good rep. That said, managements come and go - things can change rather quickly. I know some really good people working at that college.
But as I said, the problem is that you have no say in which college you get assigned to. I do know one person who refused a position because s/he was to go to that infamous branch. (see JIF) No job that year, but a couple of years later, s/he got hired again and was assigned to a more 'comfortable' college in a different city.
Do you have an offer from them?

Sorry VS, no offer at the present time - yet, I dare to dream that somewhere, someplace... (this is where the music arrives as if from a very very long way away at very very high speed and I burst into song). |
