Hello--I am looking into possibly getting a teaching job in Bermuda for the school year of 2008-2009. It appears that it may be a bit challenging to get a job there and I was wondering if anyone had any insights into the education system there and securing a teaching job on the island.

I too will be seeking a teaching position in Bermuda - did you find anything out? I would like to know insights into public vs private schools - I'm hearing mixed views.

Hello--I have been searching for a job in Bermuda since January 08 and have found it is pretty difficult to get a primary level position. The private schools have all told me that they generally hire Bermudians for those positions. If, however, you teach high school or middle school, you may be better off. I did apply with the Bermudian Govt schools back in January and have yet to hear from them. Called them today but no call back yet. Good luck!

Hey guys, I've just been looking at international postings on the TES (Times Educational supplement) and there were definitely some jobs for Bermuda. I'm sure I saw primary as well. Hope that helps. Just type in TES to google, go to jobs and click international postings. x
