Well folks, I've just jined, but it seems awfully quiet in here ! Are you all hibernating from the heat and dust? If it's any consolation I have been in the UK for 16 days and it has rained EVERY day........I'd rather be back in Fintas with Dubai One, Orbit and a bit of 'heat'.....so next year I'm thinking that for the first time in 17 years I might teach a Summer school and then just travel in August. Does anyne have any ideas about which summer school pays best? If they employ teachers not on staff ? I am a school teacher but qualified EFL so University is an option too.
Any ideas welcome! |

Really can't follow you.
You're back in the UK. It's pissed down every day. You wish you were back in Fintas. SO! You decide that next year you'll do a Summer School (not in Farwaniya or Jahra) but possibly at Boxhill College!
Seriously though, Fintas is one of the best areas of the great little Emirate and I've sometimes thought that if I ever returned it would be the place to be. Along with Salmiya, Salwa etc.
Have you been to Kheitan, Jleeb al Shouyukh?????? |

LOL - no, what I meant is next year I'm not wasting 100KD flying to the UK for it to p---- down every day and so, instead i may stay in Kuwait and do a summer school.
Boxhill Colege is a different question......just wondered if anyone knew when it would be up and ready. |
