Does anyone have any information on Ras Al Khaimah English Speaking School in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE? Is it well run? Does administration treat teachers well?

In the UAE, schools with English Speaking in their names tend not to be US or UK schools but for students whose country has English as an official langauge. Is this the same school that you mentioned in another posting? 12 days vacation? Are you sure? Legally, you must have all the Islamic holidays plus New Year's day and most packages give about 56 working days per year. The schools finish in mid May/early June til September so are you expected to teach summer school too? I think you need some clear in formation from the school before you commit yourself. |

With 12 days vacation this could be a school for Filipino or Indian children. A child-minding service rather than an educational facility. Be careful |

Hello,
Please see my messages under 'be specific' - the RAK School is Brit run - several teachers from there moved to my daughter's old school in Al Ain - also a Brit School.
If you need someone to dig up the insider track and make enquiries up in RAK about the school - please send me a personal message and I'll try to help.
Regards,
