Hoping to find work in the UAE in about a year's time. I already have 6 years experience, DTEFLA, CELTA, BA in English and will have finished my MA in Applied Linguistics before going there. I'm currently in Saudi - so I have Middle East experience.
So, considering I have a wife and daughter (18mths) where is the best place to apply for? I mean the best financial package (+perks) by the way?

| I hear that the quaintly-acronymed UGRU at the University in Al Ain is okay. MLI was supposedly okay but I personally am allergic to the Merchants of Death. What is the attraction of UAE after Saudi ? |

| I fancy UAE after Saudi as the lifestyle there has to be freer and apparently better deals are to be found in the UAE. I may be wrong on that one though. |

| I saw UGRU as a visitor when I went to TESOL-Arabia. I was favourably impressed. Of MLI I have only hearsay. Personally I would not work for the Military - in the UAE or anywhere else. |

| GO for UAE University, Zayed U., Higher Colleges or Sharjah University. Teaching for the military can be problematic at the best of times. |
