Anyone know any good discussion forums for expats/teachers/foreigners living in Spain?

Sadly not, and having followed the Korean Discussion Forums for a few months, I think this is rather a pity. I'm returning to Spain in... six days (holy cow!)... and would love somewhere to chat with fellow expats/teachers. How about posting *here*?

Where in Spain will you go?

I'm looking for some good forums.. if I find any, I'll let you know as well. Would love to find something this is as active as the Korean Discussion Board on this site.

Whew, found two!!

If anyone is inclined to post here, I'd love it. But there are two others that I now know of:

http://www.multimadrid.com/

and

http://www.madridman.com/

PM me if you want to know who I am on there. I'm not using 'Tiger Beer' and I just registered so no post count as of yet.. Wink

Good work, Tiger Beer! I'll take a look a look at those in just a moment (although am not heading to Madrid). I'm actually going back to a small town, west of Barcelona; I lived there before and am returning to the same school while I wait for the DELTA to start (argh). What about you?

I won't be in Madrid either. Its all I could find (so far)!

I'll be living just north of Valencia. Actually I won't be teaching this time around (maybe parttime or something). Going into a graduate school program there.

I'm familiar with Spanish from being in South America. Looking forward to experiencing it in Europe.

How long were you in Spain in the past?

I was there for just short of a year, two years ago (I had a plan to live in a different country every year, but I stalled at four... shouldn't have been lured back down under).

I'd like to go to South America. That and the Antarctic and I'll have at least been to all of the continents (for all that I've yet to see in all of them, of course)... Going to Spain with Spanish will be an advantage, I'd imagine, even if it ithn't with the lithping Thpanish of Thpain. Usually I just turn up in a country without any language at all and go from there -- quite looking forward to going back already knowing a smattering of Castillano and Catalan.

What kind of graduate school are you going on, may I ask?

try doing a search under the groups at yahoo.com or yahoo.co.uk. They usually have some good discussion groups.
