 Can you clarify the need for work permits for teaching in Thailand, please?
Some of your postings seem to indicate that paid part time (and what that is needs clarification) teaching does not require a work permit.
Also, is a permit necessary for doing unpaid work, whether teaching or any other kind of work? |

None of the information below have I verified. So, I would suggest you take what I say with a grain of salt. I base my assumptions on Visa commonalities and working permit traits found throughout S.E.A.
It would seem to me that you would need a work permit even for part-time work should your sallary exceed a certain dollar amount. I have no idea of what the amount is.
If you are not getting paid but still engaged in working, it would seem that a work permit would not be required. ie... doing voluntary work.
A quick call to a Thai Consulate should clarify these issues for you. |
