Dear Mr. K,
Good show - I should have posted this site myself weeks ago. A friend sent it to me and I've been going there daily ever since.
But be warned; it's highly addictive.
Regards,
John |

I've hit level 50 several times. Never for very long though and it took a few (semi-)educated guesses to get me there. Still, +10 e-vocab-peen |

Absolutely. Old Latin student...and one of the words -- cachinnation -- I learned from one of my Chinese students, who had found it in one of their electronic dictionaries.
I have to go back and see if I can make it to 50. |

I only got to 45 my first time, with several semi-educated guesses (plus my knowledge of Spanish helped a bit). It's definitely addictive -I'll be back. |

Yes, Virginia, there is a level 50
VOCAB LEVEL: 50
YOUR BEST LEVEL: 50
In fact, there's a level 55
VOCAB LEVEL: 55
YOUR BEST LEVEL: 55
Eight years of Latin and two of ancient Greek helped, not to mention some lucky guesses.
But you don't want to know how long it took.
Regards,
John |

Hola, world-travelers,
You've fought hunger - now fight thirst:
http://www.freepoverty.com/
See how many cups of water you can donate by testing your knowledge about the world. Each correct answer means we will be donating 10 cups on your behalf. Good luck!
In total we have donated 228,132,368 Cups of Water!
FreePoverty.com allows everyone to contribute in donating water to people from all over the world who live in extreme poverty. By letting users locate places on the map, their accuracy will determine how many cups of water will be donated on their behalf. Therefore, FreePoverty aims to:
- Provide clean drinking water to those in need
- Make users realize that they can make a difference
- Let users learn something about geography that they may have not known before
Please take a few minutes of your time to do this, because not only will it expand your knowledge but you will be providing water to people in need as well.
Thank you.
Chung-Guk Kim, Founder of FreePoverty.com
"All you have to do is visit www.Freepoverty.com . It is that simple. For every answer you get correctly, 10 cups of water will be donated on your behalf to needy nations. The process of donation is funded through advertisements on the site. Every time you play, different advertisements appear, thus the more you play the more funding is received to donate the water. The monies collected and generated are then given to an organization such as UNICEF or WaterAid.
That is what Chung-Guk Kim had in mind at the age of 19. But how can a student at a university in Rome ease the thirst of millions? He came up with Freepoverty.com. He teamed up with Rubina Singhsachathet, and programmers and designers from Ukraine and Slovenia. They put the site together, and ever since then they donated over 2 million cups of water.
It is amazing what people can come up with to change the world around them. I asked the spokesperson of the site, Rubina, where they got the inspiration from. She told me We were inspired by Freerice.com and wanted to do something similar. There are many donation websites on the Internet but there can never be enough. That is true. Free rice, is also a game but you are tested on your knowledge of English words. However, instead of donating water, the site donates rice."
