I hope things go well with CNAQ. It is such an outstanding school in Qatar!

Why does your post say 'if' CNAQ closes. What information did management or the Education Ministry give to suggest such an event besides your own supposition.
Back up such comments.
Right now, all that you and others have are unfounded conjecture, but your post suggests a concern about the education of potentially placed under-qualified teachers in a new school? I've heard of cart before the horse but this is silliness.
There is a movement throughout the gulf to increase post secondary enrolment. More schools are being created in many cities. Enrolment at schools is skyrocketing in the region. This is well documented in newspapers and by talking to people at conferences.
At least one king in the region has not set a limit on education spending....others likely have similar agendas.
There is a bigger picture here.

Hey, baedaebok. Why are k-12 school teachers unqualified? Just wondering if its their 30+ years experience teacing in a classroom. Or is it their attention to detail, having been employed in the profession for so long? Or perhaps its their ability to find resources and incorporate them into their everyday teaching. Could it be that their degrees in Arts AND Education, including M.A or M.ED cannot compare to your lonely BA and 60 hour online course?
C'mon. Think about what you are saying. An experienced teacher with 30+ years is unqualified? I agree that they may not have EFL experience, but after 1-2 years teaching they will have more than most. BTW, we all had to start somewhere! |

Why do you say it's outstanding? QP sends some students there and I think our training center does just as good a job. We have some top-notch people on board, unfortunately, most of us don't have an MA so we can't work in tertiary institutions. |
