As a starting point here, I'm asking anyone that has novels/books that they no longer wish to keep to let me know and I could gladly take them off your hands. I am an avid reader and have read every book I bought with me from the US in less than 3 months. Since I now have books I no longer want and desire more, I am trying to start an exchange of some kind or take your unwanted books off your hands if you are leaving China. As you can see I am in Zhuhai, so anyone in or near my location who wants to get rid of their reading material, let me know and I can make arrangements to pick them up. I am an eclectic reader so if given a general idea about which books you have no more use for, I am the solution to your problem. Thanks, all!!! Laughing

I'm an avid reader as well and have a collection of probably one hundred books. I purchased most of them at the bookstore in Hong Kong. Expensive.

I'm also attached to some of them...

I might be interested in an exchange. What have you got?

I'm especially on the look out for Martin Heidegger's Being and Time. I read Salman Rushdie, Proust, Eco, Grass, and other writers along those lines.

Let me know. I'm in Guangzhou. You could Pm, too.

K.

Hey, Klamm,
I am avidly and keenly interested in your Guenther Grass, Proust, Salman Rushdie, and I also hail from Guangzhou (secondary home there, so to speak);

and, Kai,
I sent you a PM some time ago renewing my interest in those works you offered.

Here is a list of authors I have read and available:

- Tamim Ansary ("West of Kabul, East of New York");
- William Bell; - Chris Bunch; - Anthony Burgess ("1985");
- Tom Clancy (with Steve Pieczenik); - Michael Crichton;
- John le Carre; - Michael Connelly ("Blood Work");
- John Grisham;
- Alexandre Dumas (in English);
- Adrian Edmundson (a satire);
- Ian McDonnald; - Patrick McGrath;
- Hammond Innes;
- P.D. James;
- James Patterson;
- Richard William Scott ("China Bride"); - Graham Swift;
- Craig Thomas; - Scott Turow - Nancy Taylor-Rosenberg;
- Frank Yerby ("Captain Rebel");

As an aside: you can buy leftover stock for HK$ 10 to 50 a piece at SWINDON's (3rd floor, Canton Road, shopping mall behind the Star Ferry)!
