Im looking for penpals for some middle school students here in Busan, South Korea. I'm a British Native teacher working at a private academy.

I have a class of 5 students, 3 girls, 2 boys, aged 13-15, intermediate level. My students would like to improve their English skills by making friends with students who can write to them in English also - either fellow ESL-ers or native speakers. Id like to use snail mail to begin with, to practice the art of letter writing and to make the initial contact more personal, including photos, country postcards, stickers etc. Id really like to get them writing next month, with an aim for exchanging letters at least once a month. If interested, please PM or email [email protected]

Is there anyone out there teaching at a secondary school with some students who would like some Korean penpals?

Can't help either, but have you considered corresponding with non-native speaking students? Considering how many people use English as a lingua-Franca it's not such a bad idea. (I still relish the sight of a Dutch motorist asking French teenagers directions in English earlier in the year, and getting them!)

Haha yes Sue. Reminds me of 'Mother Tongue' the book by Bryson where he speaks about these sorts of situations.
