Dear eclectic,

I'm afraid Netiquette disagrees:

"Do not type in ALL CAPS. This denotes screaming or yelling. Instead, use bold type or underline if you feel the need to emphasize your point."

http://www.fau.edu/irm/about/netiquette.php

Many other sites say the same.

Regards,
John

Not yet. But this is because I've not gone there yet.

Man, the crap people will accept in Saudi Arabia to land a job. Unbelievable.

I probably wouldn't like it, either, so add me to the pool.

But the reason I wouldn't like it is because I won't bend over and sign a contract that's different from what I was told.

The Saudis aren't the problem in KSA. It's the idiot teachers who accept being lied to and sign contracts that are skewed far against them. Thanks, guys. When you bend over and accept a bullshit contract, I am expected to as well. This means I probably won't even get the chance to dislike KSA, as I'll never get there to begin with. It's my way or no way.

What people will accept to land a job in the KSA.

Watch Out seems to be the watchwords for any job in the KSA as far as I can see from all the posts on here.
Seriously, the below information is what I have gleaned from doing a search on these forums.
1. Don't give up your present job until you have cast iron offer of a job.
2. Don't give up your present job until you have the visa arranged.
3. Make sure you cover all your bases at the interview stage and have
agreed the terms and conditions to your mutual satisfaction
4. Trawl this site for everything regarding the position you wish to take, yes
we know there are bitter twisted souls that will down any institution and
there are many strange people washed up on a foreign shore, but by and
large if you read between the lines you will get a fair idea of where you
will work.
5. Contact as many existing employees as you can.....this will be vital to
your decision.
6. Buy, Rent or Do the following
a) a dark room
b) a chair
c) The Complete works of Virginia Wade
d) wait, think,wait...................... then after waiting, ...............wait again...ad...in..fi..ni....tum
Then and only then are you assured of peace mind for both yourself and your financial adviser (the finger wagger)
