I am currently working in the UAE and earning a fairly decent wage but want to move because of a last minute change of accomodation to a unpleasant locale by my school. I am about to discuss terms with Misr American College in Cairo and would love any up to date info about working conditions and salary expectations. I get the impression from some members it may be a bad bet. Please advise!

It would be great if someone came on and gave an update, but I can tell you mishmumkin usually has dependable information because she has friends teaching in Cairo.

I find the information posted difficult to believe (from the American teacher with a child in the school), but because I don't know the previous teachers (I did get a private email from the poster, and I considered it questionable at best), I can't really say. I can only comment on what I know to be the current status....and you can see it on that same thread.
