If, after I graduate from Uni, I take a year off, get a CELTA, go to Asia to teach, get lots of experience, and then return home to start a Masters degree, how easy would it be to get a part-time job teaching English? Seems like there would be a fair amount of summer-work, but what about the rest of the time?

In Manchester, there is lots of foreign students, lots of language schools. Did anyone here have similar experiences?

You would probably earn as much in a bartending job. Part-time EFLing in Uk is minimum wage.

It can be done - the trick is to get your oar in over the summer, i.e. now.

If you can get summer work in Manchester, the schools may be able to offer you part-time work over the winter and spring - the larger schools shold have a fairly constant source of Saudi students making their way over to the UK during the winter months to learn English at a conversation school before either taking the IELTs or embarking on a pre-sessional EAP course at their chosen university. This will give you some income, although you will be limited to a maximum of 20 hours a week teaching.
