Hi,
I'm getting my "STUFF" together and need some advice on whether or not the following document (if completed properly and notarized) will suffice for the required criminal background check to obtain a work visa in Vietnam? "Not to be used for employment purposes." Will the VNs care?

Thanks

OPINION
Dicey-It states only 2 counties-I THINK you would have trouble with this-maybe other posters who have used a similar document can make comment, but as a hirer and firer, I say I would not accept it.
Whether it is acceptable for Work Permit however is not up to the hirer, its up to the government-and I THINK they will question this. |

Will this work? FBI fingerprint check. If the is no record of arrest or conviction, this is what will be returned according to FBI website:
"No Record Response. As of 8/17/09, fingerprint cards are no longer being returned. Due to concerns related to the protection of Personally Identifiable Information, the process has been changed to return a letter which states "no FBI arrest was found"."
Here is the Website: http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm
Thanks

From MY expereince, that will work. It has in the past.
We are in a foreign country, and what is acceptable or not acceptable here is not always what seems to be the most sensible option-but that is how life is.
Not up to us to question it, just comply.
This is not to say the acceptability of this record is still OK. The requirements change frequently, and with out warning.
My bet would be, as the FBI record has worked in the past, its a fair bet it still will tomorrow. |

Thanks for your insight.
I think I'll follow the "FBI" route for the criminal background check.
Lat question: Do all work permit documents have to be notarized?
Cheers. |
